“People don’t resist change, they resist being changed.”
This quote by Bob Proctor really spoke to me this morning. We are only limited by the image we have of ourselves. We will only push ourselves to attain the highest level of worth that we value ourselves at.
In order to achieve our goals we have to change who we currently are. If we want to be healthy, we have to change the way we eat or we have to start exercising. It is simple, but it is not easy. It is not easy to be the person who avoids sugar day after day, or the person who wakes up at 5am to go for a run. We want the change of a healthier lifestyle, but we are not willing to be changed.
So today on our Choose Intentions Tuesday, let’s choose to be changed. What small change can you make in your life to become the person you see your ideal self as? What image are you going to set for yourself? Remember; start with something small – maybe a 15 minute earlier wake up and stretch, or a healthy addition of some veggies into tomorrow’s lunch. (It looks fantastic to decide to wake up at 4am for a 10km run, then change your diet completely to be picture perfect “healthy”, but unfortunately these drastic changes do not last. Start small – one step at a time.)
Good luck. Stay true to YOU. x
